It’s been a wonderful 2013 here at Intereum and before the 2014 countdown officially begins, we wanted to say thank you to our teams, our customers, and our fans for making it great. Let’s rewind the moments from 2013 as we get ready to ring in the new year!
1. Our People
The Employee Spotlights that we share on the blog take a picture of the talent that we have on our dedicated teams across the company. Thanks to those that shared their stories and passions with us this year. Each individual contributes so much!
- Ricki Arnold, Green Thumb
- Dave Grosz, Cycling Enthusiast
- Sue Weisberg, World Traveler
- Rollie Markovitch, Animal Lover
- Mary Ryan, Happily Retired
- Jeremy Schneider, Tech Guru
- Monique Gainor, Reclaiming Beautiful
- Denise Sarles, Arts and Crafts Pro
2. Oktoberfest Open House
Intereum’s Oktoberfest themed open house was a whole lot of fun and entertainment. What better way to say thanks to you all for the years of continued support than by throwing a party full of oompah and bier! Thanks to everyone again for making it so special.
3. Herman Miller’s Living Office Launch
Supported by in-depth research, Herman Miller’s Living Office identifies the work modes and work styles that produce efficient, engaging, and prosperous places to work. The Metropolis Magazine article has an excellent publication about it all – and for 2014, be prepared to see product releases that are a reflection of the research and design behind Living Office.
4. Giving Back to the Community
There is more reward found in giving than receiving and so this year it was consistently shown by Intereum and our employees that we whole-heartedly support the community through volunteer efforts and donations. Events like We Care, Toys 4 Tots, Sam’s Scramble for Sight golf event, and Imperfect Jumps are just a few of the major campaigns we participated with.
5. Newsworthy Notes
The local Star Tribune produced two articles that spotlighted shifts in the way people learn and work. Intereum was proud to be a part of such great concepts from Fridley school’s transformation of classrooms into “learning studios” and Cassidy Turley going from cubicles to collaboration. Links to the articles in their own words are below.
6. Priceless Moments
Twin Cities Rise recognized our Medtronic service team for the outstanding efforts in all that they do day in and day out. This team was very deserving of the honors!
Another flattering moment came when Intereum was awarded its 8th Herman Miller Market Share Leader Award. This award is the pinnacle of hard work, quality, and performance.
7. Turnkey Audio Visual Solutions
It’s an exciting chapter in the history of Intereum as we launched our Audio Visual Department, now making it possible for our clients to have technology solutions right at their fingertips. We’ve worked with many clients over the last year, installing and updating technology, and we look forward to the continued relationships in 2014.
8. Staying Social
Every spring and fall the calendar gets loaded up with events and this year we had some really unique opportunities to explore with clients, A/D firms, and designers. The first notable one is the rooftop yoga lunch and learn. A beautiful day, a gorgeous skyline, and a yoga session make for an exceptional learning event.
Back in October, Intereum alongside Herman Miller Healthcare hosted Ikebana, a Japanese floral arranging technique. Attendees learned the craft behind the arrangements and the connection between patient healing. Arrangements were delivered to clinics to be enjoyed by others!
9. Showroom Style and Branding
A fully remodeled showroom is deserving of being shown off! There were sophisticated installations of technology made, new DIRTT applications, intuitive collaborative spaces created, and not a single detail overlooked.
10. Nothing Short of Fun
Sprinkle in some humor and fun with the work we do and sure enough, we’ve got a recipe that makes working here a blast. Our fun takeaways from this year include our mini-golf outing at the Walker, Hedgie Hour Oktoberfest style, and our Holidays in the Tropics potluck. The challenge for 2014 – how do we top these great moments?!
Have a happy and healthy 2014!
