Herman Miller Setu: The Easy Ergonomic Chair

Technology has changed how and where we work. Now we work anywhere and everywhere. No matter where we work we want a comfortable chair.

What are you doing right now? Are you sitting down? What do you think about the chair you are in? Is it stylish, supportive? Have you ever really thought about it before?  Most people don’t until they find themselves sitting in a chair that gives them a backache.  Many times the perception is that ergonomic products are for the weak and elderly. The truth is sitting in a “nice” chair not only helps your comfort but raise your productivity as well. There are a lot of ergonomic products on the market right now that a gimmicks and it can be hard to find something specially designed for you comfort and health.  You can stop looking for a chair now because the Setu Chair is here.

While the Herman Miller Aeron Chair & Embody Chair are great ergonomic task chairs to sit at while working at a desk, they are not suitable for all needs.  It is nice to have that Herman Miller support somewhere else and this is where the Setu Chair really shines. A multipurpose, multi-person task chair that you can rely on wherever you need it.

The Setu system is all in the design. A unique duo of flexible spines make the chair move with you. Sit in the chair and it will conform to your back, and reclines with you. The only adjustment you’ll find is the seat height, which is operated via a cool trigger-like switch. The lack of excess parts makes the Setu chair incredibly light – not like many other desk chairs that feel as heavy as television sets. Its innovative kinematic spine bends and flexes to your every move. There’s nothing to tilt, nothing to tweak. Setu’s finely tuned elastomeric fabric provides superior suspension and conforms to your contours. It’s comfort now.

  1. This is a really nice chair, both in looks and in design. I like the idea of a flexible spine that makes the chair move with you. Although Herman Miller tends to be a little bit on the expensive side, most of the chairs seem to really excite people and I’m sure this one is no different.
